Edgar Cayce was born on March 18th, 1877 in Hopkinsville,
Kentucky.
With the exception of a few paranormal manifestations
during his childhood, it was not until adulthood that
his capacities as a medium were truly revealed.
As he was prone to losing his voice and no physician
could restore it, he went for hypnosis and discovered
he could describe his affliction as well as the appropriate
treatment.
From this moment on, he began giving "readings"
in a trance to those who came to consult him. Over 14
000 readings were undertaken in this manner, nearly
10 000 of which dealt with medical problems.
Edgar Cayce passed away in 1945 in Virginia Beach, leaving
behind a phenomenal database of natural remedies. He
is still widely known as the greatest American medium
of the 20th century.
